Exploring Marrakesh, the red city

During a trip in Morocco, I decided with my family to say Hello to one of my beloved cities : Marrakesh, the red city. This ambiguous city is the kind of cities that can’t be discovered on a single look, it took time to uncover one of the many layers that protect it and embrace it culture. The torturous streets of the ancient medina led you to the great Jamaa El Fna place where an immaterial patrimony lives day after day. The strong red « ocre » color of the buildings is the back front of this tragicomedy that you quickly take for your own staring movie. Behind these huge imposing walls of bricks and stones you can discovered palaces, secret spots, riads, monuments… History and life are never far from where you stand. Between the Palais Badii, the Koutoubia, the Palais Bahia, the Majorelle garden, the panel is large on what the city offers. After a day of wandering and exploring you begin to feel and seize the atmosphere but if you want to understand the people around you it will give you another sight on what surround you and here is the real adventure. No great traveler will ever tell you to not interact with people, because they are the alive memory of the stagnant walls. On the suburbs of Marrakesh many urban  people choose to build their house. You can find the most luxurious hotels and restaurants right out of the city. The Fellah Hotel is one of my preferred spots if you want the calm of the rural and the luxury of Morocco. But what impress me the most in this particular place is the interior architecture design with a mix of eclectic objects between modernity, tradition and art deco. You can meet  artists and inspiring people in the luminous salons on a wool carpets around a cup of mint tea.
Everytime I think of Marrakesh, I have this feeling, a kind of nostalgia, as if have a part of me(mory) stuck there. So anytime I can go for a visit, just for a few days I take the opportunity. I have the impression of fulfilling my soul with new energy but then I need the sea and the ocean…

OUTFIT : I’am wearing a pink shirt with a white shirt from Bershka, the pants is from Zara and the leather boots are Vintage. I also wear a Casio watch.
